Zach and Cassandra Foust Prayer Letter: A Busy Season on the Deputation TrailThank you for your prayers as we continue to travel on deputation! This season has been a busy one for us. Over the last month, we have been in churches in Ohio, Arkansas, Michigan, Kansas, Indiana, and Iowa. We started out the month by finishing a wonderful Missions Conference with the good people of Decatur Baptist Church in Little Hocking, Ohio. We left Ohio for Malvern, Arkansas, where we were privileged to be with Pastor Horton and Gospel Light Baptist Church for their Missions Conference. We had a wonderful time getting to know their people, as well as hearing such an emphasis on missions! After that, we traveled to Michigan, where we had a great meeting with Pastor Zantjer and Green Meadow Bible Baptist Church.

Shortly thereafter, we received some tragic news. Many of you have heard of the passing of our sweet nephew, Aiden Rivera, at just 10½ months. We know many are in prayer for Anthony and Ashley and the family during this very difficult time. We are so thankful for those who have shown their love and support. Anthony and Ashley are some of the finest Christians I know, and their faithfulness to the Lord is amazing. The funeral was held at their home church, Greenwood Bible Baptist in Greenwood, Indiana. I was graciously asked to speak for their evening service, as well as present our ministry to Peru. We cannot say thank you enough for their kindness to our family!

The following Sunday, we traveled to Kansas, where we were able to be with Heritage Baptist Church. What a blessing it was to get to know Pastor Hanks and the church family. They were such a friendly church! We ended the month with Pastor Koske and Twin Pines Baptist Church in Robins, Iowa. It was great to see many friends and make new ones as well.

This year we will spend Christmas with Cassandra’s family, and we are looking forward to having everyone together. My parents will be flying home for Christmas as well! Just before they come back, there will be a large outreach called a Chocolatada, where our church members there in Lima will be handing out hot chocolate and Christmas gifts to people in the neighborhood. Every person who receives hot chocolate will also hear the full plan of salvation! Please pray that many will accept Jesus on this day. After that, my parents will fly home, and we will celebrate Christmas with them. Then they will take back some extra luggage with them to help us as we get ready to move to Peru!

We are close to the end of our deputation trail, but we need to fill in some dates over the next several weeks! Please pray that the Lord would give us safety as we travel and allow us to get back to Peru soon. Thank you to all of you who have been such a blessing to us on deputation and who pray for us regularly. It means the world to us! We wish you a Merry Christmas and look forward to what the Lord has ahead in the new year.

God bless you all!
