Xavier Lopez Prayer Letter: New Converts, Pray for 100 Soul Winners, and Great Teen Camp!During the months of May, June, and July, God blessed us with a harvest of visitors coming, people getting saved and baptized, and new people starting in our Bible-study program. This has given us a new crop of people to work with in order to teach and train them for the Lord. Below are pictures of a few of our baptisms. Please pray that each of our new converts would grow and fulfill God’s will for their lives.

On average, 41 soul winners go out from our ministry to win souls every Saturday. Our church is praying for 100 soul winners to go out faithfully every week. Our progress has been slow to attain this goal, so I am relying on our fervent prayer partners around the world to help us break the ceiling, those Christians who are willing to sacrifice selflessly their food and their time in fanatical prayer and intercession to change the world for Christ! I invite you to partner with us by investing much time in prayer for God’s power, God’s wisdom, and God’s direction on our ministry to help us fulfill what I believe to be God’s will. “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

We would love to start new bus routes in more neighborhoods of the city of La Paz in order to reach and train more people, but we lack the funds to rent more buses. I am planning a short furlough for next year in order to raise more “new” support to meet this need, but in the meantime, please pray that God would provide. We already have the workers and the neighborhoods picked out; we just need the buses.

A special thank you to those who prayed for our Teen Camp in July. This year we went to Sorata, Bolivia! God blessed our efforts and showed us a revival, with life-changing decisions that resulted in new soul winners in the church, baptisms, and young people and adults consecrating their lives to God. We did not teach or preach on baptism, but we had 12 people get baptized as a result of surrendered lives at camp!

At every camp, we have a time of training on how to win souls, and then we pair up soul winners with those who can’t win souls and try to win as many people we can in one hour. This year we saw 35 people saved in the rustic pueblo of Sorata, and three of our teenagers won their first soul!

After we returned home, the parents of one of our teens, who hesitantly sent their daughter to camp, asked what we had done to their daughter. I was startled when I heard this and asked what had happened! The parents happily said that they could not believe the transformation in their daughter and would now readily send her every year! Please pray that each decision will be fulfilled.

I am merrily convinced that we are on the winning side! We are seeing God bless our ministry and enjoying a small revival as of the writing of this letter. Thank you for being our collaborators for the cause of Christ. If you ever need someone to pray for your need, please send me an email and I will pray!

I’d rather have Jesus,

Xavier Lopez
