Jerry Wyatt III Prayer Letter: Progress With the Radio StationWe have been traveling the country for the past several months on furlough. Since our last letter, we have given updates in 24 churches and been through 25-some states. It has truly been a whirlwind. I know it is said often by missionaries in reference to their field of service, but we really do need to get back to Tanzania to slow down a little. The funny thing is that we have so much planned for the coming year that we are going to be running the moment we return to Tanzania in April.

One particular blessing among many was the opportunity to meet some young men from Africa who are here in the States for university. We were presenting our work in a church in Maine when these three men from Africa came to the service. After Sunday school I went down to speak with them. They all spoke Swahili, and I began to present them the Gospel. What a joy it was when two of them bowed their heads to ask Christ to be their Saviour. Next week I am going to be visiting some families from Tanzania here in Iowa. I am praying that God will soften their hearts that they might accept Christ as their Saviour as well.

We are very excited to share with you a great blessing for our Radio Ministry. The first of this year, I received a phone call to let us know that someone had given $25,000 to help start the radio. We are so thrilled at how God has provided through churches, and now through this individual, for this wonderful ministry tool. Please pray for two specific things. The first is for our permit to be processed quickly. Pray that there would not be any red tape as the government processes our application. The second specific would be that God would provide the last final amount of finances to purchase an electrical backup system and a few other equipment needs for the studio. We are definitely on the homestretch.

A very exciting ministry opportunity we have this summer once we return to Tanzania is our Tanzanian Stadium Crusade. We have been sharing this opportunity with all of our supporting churches. What we are asking the Lord to do is to allow us to present the Gospel to thousands at the Jamhuri Stadium in our town. On July 25, our church will be hosting a free-admission soccer match between two professional soccer teams. During the halftime, we will give a 25-minute Gospel message, as well as perform some Christ-honoring music. Each person who attends will receive a John and Romans with the Gospel on the back. We will be handing out information cards and asking those who have accepted Christ as their Saviour to fill them out. We will endeavor to follow up on those who attend. Those who have denoted that they have trusted Christ will receive a call within 72 hours from one of our church members and encouraged to start right in their new Christian life by attending the Faith Baptist Church that Sunday. We hope many will have a part of this exciting outreach through prayer.

Please continue to pray for us and for traveling mercies. We have many miles to travel, with many more to come. We will be returning to Tanzania at the end of April. Just before we leave, we will have the opportunity to be a part of the Our Time Youth Conference. It is always a highlight of our trips whenever we are able to have a part in this great conference. Pray that God would speak to young people’s hearts about living for Him.
