Wes Palla Prayer Letter: What Your Partnership Accomplished This YearI hope that all of you were able to enjoy a wonderful Christmas season. Here in São Paulo, Christmas always seems very odd to me; I think it has to do with it being in the Brazilian summer, so it’s always 90-plus degrees—I want my snow! On Christmas Day our church celebrated Christmas together with both congregations (Spanish and Portuguese) participating in the service. We were thrilled to have over 70 in the service, 13 of whom were first-time visitors. We had 4 salvation decisions!

We want to thank you for your contributions to the work here in São Paulo over the past year. God has been very good, and because of your faithful giving in 2016, we have:

1. Seen over 300 salvation decisions.
2. Witnessed 10 baptisms.
3. Established 2 preaching points in the Amazon.
4. Inaugurated the Maranatha Baptist Church of Guarulhos, Brazil.
5. Traveled to help/encourage two young churches in Chile.
6. Taken part in the survey trip for a new church plant in Corumbã, Brazil (church is now established there and running over 30 people per service in attendance).

Please continue to keep us in your prayers. In the coming year, it is our prayer that God would grow the Maranatha Baptist Church of Guarulhos. We want to see our least-attended service averaging 50. We want to see new converts going out soul winning. We will be taking part in another Columbian Amazon trip during the month of June, and we would like to see our church begin supporting their first missionary.

We could not be here, committed to the work, without your faithful prayers and giving. Thank you so much for your investment in Brazil; thank you for your investment in our family. We are striving to be effective ambassadors for the cause of Christ. May God richly bless you, and may the coming year be filled with many victories for His glory.

Declaring His glory,

Wesley Palla
