Wes Palla Prayer Letter: Thankful for 2014's BlessingsWe have so much to thank God for as the year draws to a close. We also owe so many of YOU a tremendous debt for your sacrificial giving and faithful prayers. We would not be where we are without you. Thank you so much for having a heart for missions. It is our constant goal to represent both our Saviour and you in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord.

This year has had some great moments and also some very heavy ones. As some of you already know, shortly after our last prayer letter had gone out, we found out that Cynthia had lost the baby that was to be our third child. Although we went through some very sad moments, it was very obvious that God was shielding and comforting Cynthia during the grieving process. We are both at peace with what has happened, and we know that God still treats us far better than we will ever deserve.

This year has gone by extremely quickly (or so it seems to me), yet God has allowed us to see fruit. Learning Portuguese slowed down our soul-winning opportunities a little bit, but even then we have been able to see:

  • Over 20 Brazilians trust Christ.
  • 100-plus Spanish trust Christ.
  • 4 new churches in Peru, Argentina, and Chile as a result of the missions survey trip that I helped with in the spring with some Mexican preacher boys and Pastor Wynne.

I cannot take credit for any of this—God does it all. He has allowed me the privilege to help men like Pastor Wynne and others as we try to impact the entire world with the Gospel.

Here in Sao Paulo, we need your prayers as we strive to see the work grow. Please continue to pray for Brazilians to be saved and grow in the Lord. Pray that God will show us exactly where to plant the church, and also pray for a new Spanish work that we have begun here in Sao Paulo reaching Bolivians. This Sunday, the 21st, we will hold our first in-home Bible study with four families that we reached through a Spanish Bible Club. How fun it is to reach all nations from where we are!

May God bless you all as you proclaim the reason for this season—Jesus Christ! We wish you all a Merry Christmas and an even more exciting, productive New Year.

Declaring His glory,

Wes Palla
