Wes Palla Prayer Letter: Ready for Sunday SchoolThank you so much for your faithful giving toward the work here in Guarulhos, Brazil. We are blessed to report some exciting things, and each one of these blessings is fruit to your account. It is because of your faithfulness where you are that we get to see God working and opening doors where we are. Thank you for doing your part in having a part!

At the beginning of the month, Cynthia took another Brazilian young lady, Natalia’s younger sister, to Bible college in Mexico City. We now have two young ladies there, preparing to serve the Lord full-time. One Sunday evening, a young girl who has been coming to church for over a year expressed her desire to get baptized that night. We put our homemade (read, “not OSHA approved”) baptistery heaters in to warm the water up as much as possible, but I knew the water was going to be cold, and the night was chilly as well. At the end of the service, she was more than ready and willing to get in and follow the Lord in believer’s baptism; she didn’t even shiver. What a blessing it was to see her excitement at taking that step. An added bonus was that she didn’t get sick as a result.

We covet your prayers, as in this month of July, we will begin a Sunday school hour in our main church. Our prayer is to use this time to accomplish much teaching and training with our people so that they are equipped to be participants in the work and not merely spectators. We have several of our ladies who are teaching children’s classes now and a few men who are going out visiting with me. Our prayer is to see more people become involved.

Please pray for some of our new converts to continue to grow. Some have marriage problems we are trying to help them through, so that they can continue to grow. Others are feeling pressure from whatever religion or church they have left behind, and we are trying to get them grounded in biblical truth so that they can withstand these pressures. As in everything, the Word of God is paramount to the work of God that the Spirit of God is trying to produce in people’s lives. Thank you for praying and giving. We are encouraged by the growth we are seeing in folks’ lives, and we will continue to work so that more fruit will abound to your account. God bless you!

Declaring His glory,
