Thankful for God’s Love and Protection

In June and July, we traveled over 1,800 miles. God has given us beautiful summer days. We are so thankful for good health and safety for these now 23 years of our “Keep the Buses Rolling” ministry. “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Thankful for Bus-Running Churches

In June we were honored to work with the Woodland Baptist Church in Bowie, Maryland. We helped their good men work on 10 buses. Brother Shank Sagar began riding their Sunday school bus as an eight-year-old boy. He is now their bus director, and he has a heart for those bus kids and their families. We know so many people who were reached for God by the Bus Ministry. Our own Dr. Ray Young was once a bus kid from Shreveport, Louisiana. He is now Vice-Chancellor of Hyles-Anderson College. Many of our pastors, missionaries, and church leaders were bus kids from bus-running churches across America and other countries.

Thankful for Faithful Bus Workers

Two of our First Baptist Church bus workers, Jeff and Lucy, had been visiting Carl and Pat and her son Scott for some time. In July on Friend Day, they came to church with them. Then when we were home the next week, we followed up on their visit. That following Sunday, they came to church with us. Our son James and his friend Lawrence went back to visit them that next Monday. James shared the Gospel with them, and they joyfully accepted the Lord as their Saviour. Then James went with them to our Friday night Reformers Unanimous. They also went to the discipleship class at church the next Sunday. It is such a blessing to us to see new Christians get excited about how God works in their lives.

Thankful to Be Used of God

We traveled 1,870 miles, helping 12 churches, and we worked on 41 buses. We had the privilege of seeing 7 people trust Christ, 3 of whom were parents of bus kids. We helped bus mechanics over the phone, walking them through the problem, and God and I helped them get their buses running again. If you have any Bus Ministry needs at all, please feel free to call or text me at 219-689-0011. We want to be a blessing to you and your church.

Thanking God for You

We are grateful for your friendship and faith in “Keep the Buses Rolling.” Your faithfulness in prayers and financial support is so appreciated, and we do not take that lightly. We are laborers together in Christ, reaching the young and old alike for His kingdom.

Yours for souls,

Warren & Jary Lynn Storm
