Heaven’s Gain on June 14, 2021
At the time of this writing, our hearts are rejoicing in the hope of Heaven! Jary Lynn’s mother, Marjorie Heath, went Home to be with her Lord Jesus and with her family members who have gone on before her. Her mom radiated Jesus’ love to everyone. God has given us so many friends and family members to help encourage and comfort us during this time. Your prayers and expressions of love and encouragement have been such a blessing to us. We are so thankful for you!
During her mom’s illness, Jary Lynn went to Omaha. I left Michigan to be with them when she was in hospice care. A few days before she went to Heaven, her sweet mother told each one of us she loved us.
Busy Time
In April, our daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Gregg Schoof, and four of their children flew back to Uganda, Africa. We had several doctors’ appointments and graduations. It was a full month.
Fixing Buses
God enabled us to help churches in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. Harvest Baptist Church in Manhattan, Kansas, had two buses down during their youth camp. The men and I were able to get them fixed, as well as another bus, in time for that Sunday.
Lighthouse Baptist Church in Ashtabula, Ohio, had a bus that had been off the road for a while. With God’s help, the good men and I were able to fix the problems. At Gospel Baptist Church in Poland, Ohio, we were getting the buses ready for state inspection. The men and I ended up having to replace all the brakes on two buses, except for one wheel that had already been fixed. All the glory goes to our God! We are just a dirty wrench in the Master’s hand.
Souls Saved
God gave us six precious souls who trusted Christ as their personal Saviour. On a bus route in Ohio, we had the privilege of seeing a bus kid accept the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour. That day on the same bus route, the dad of a bus kid trusted Christ as his Saviour. In the last few months, it has been good to get back on the bus routes again. God loves the children, and He blesses the Bus Ministry!
Prayer Requests
Pray for (1) more souls to be reached, (2) the churches to start or step up their Bus Ministries, (3) more bus workers, mechanics, and CDL drivers, (4) our health and safety, and (2) a replacement for our utility truck.
