Warren and Jary Lynn Storm Prayer Letter: Divine Appointments and Bus-Route MiraclesMerry Christmas!

May God give you all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year ahead! We have so many things for which to be thankful. God has provided for us and protected us through our travels. Also, your prayers, cards, and expressions of love have been such a blessing to us.

Divine Appointment

While we were doing our laundry in Georgetown, Kentucky, we met Lisa, the attendant. God saved her after we gave her the Gospel message, and she received the assurance of her salvation. She told us that years before, she had been a bus kid at Dr. Jeff Fugate’s dad’s church in Hazzard, Kentucky. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, and she said she was looking forward to meeting Dr. Fugate and visiting his church there.

Church Neighbor

The next church was Faith Baptist Church in Richmond, Kentucky. We were in their wonderful Missions Conference. As I helped them with their buses, I noticed a man next door who was working on his van. He was having difficulty putting the transmission back in, so I helped him get it back in. As he was finishing up and still under the van, I began sharing the Gospel with him. He trusted Jesus as his personal Saviour right then and there. God is so good! He can even save someone while they are under a vehicle!

Bus-Route Miracles

The first week in December, we had the privilege of helping Pastor Brad Jenkins at Chapel Street Baptist Church in Landis, North Carolina. I preached on the Bus Ministry and visited on a bus route. That Saturday, I visited with bus captain Don Cain. Through our soul winning, God saved 10 souls that day! Our cups were full and running over! That Sunday morning, 8 visitors came to church from his bus route; 6 of them were our converts. He had 5 new riders on his bus. What a joy it was! To top it off, Jose and his family returned that Sunday night, and they even came to the fellowship after church. Soul winning and the Bus Ministry still work!

“Me and Jesus Fixed the Bus”

One bus just wasn’t going to cooperate! We were helping Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Georgia. Pastor Landers had one school-bus mechanic and another mechanic look at the bus, and they couldn’t figure it out. I spent two entire days working on it. Saturday night, all of a sudden, it decided to start. After I warmed it up, I shut it off. I tried to restart it, but it would not restart. I got up early Sunday morning, and God urged me to go fix the bus. I checked two relays and found one was bad. I had a good relay on my truck. I put it in, and it started right up. The bus has been working ever since then. Praise the Lord! “Me and Jesus fixed the bus!”

We so appreciate you and your faithful prayers. We thank you for partnering with us to help the churches reach their bus families in their communities for Christ.

Yours for souls,

Warren & Jary Lynn Storm
