Tim Simmons Prayer Letter: New Supporters!I can’t believe fall is already here! The year 2020 has been an interesting one—that’s probably the understatement of the year! Thank you for taking the time to read our prayer letter and pray for our family.

New Supporters!

Praise the Lord for three new supporting churches since our last prayer letter! Back in June when Christa was nearing the due date for Emmalynn, I went to Victory Hill Baptist Church in Steger, Illinois, by myself to present our ministry. I’m thankful that they took us on for support! Christa’s first meeting after the birth was at Central Valley Baptist Church in Manteca, California. We had a wonderful time at their Missions Conference, and we are thankful for their support! The last week of September, we had the privilege to be a part of the Missions Conference at Bible Baptist Church in Terre Haute, Indiana. It is a church with a great heart for missions! Praise the Lord that they also took us on for support! God has been so good to us! Please join us in prayer that we’ll reach 75% of our support in the next month.

God’s Provision After Cancellations!

We had four meetings canceled in September—three due to COVID-19. I prayed for the Lord to provide meetings to fill those openings with the right meeting. One church in Washington let us come on short notice on an open Wednesday I had. I had the opportunity to present and preach at a drive-in service there. We were scheduled to be a part of a Missions Sunday on September 20. The pastor called and said his family had caught COVID-19, so they needed to reschedule our meeting. Please pray for the Ralstin family in Reno, Nevada. Just several days prior to that, a church in Illinois invited us to their Missions Month on the same date, and we needed to be back in the Midwest anyway. I was able to let them know that we now had that day open! I love how God works things out! We ended up having nine meetings in September, and five were either Missions Conferences or Missions Month meetings.

Flights to Uruguay

Our goal is to move to Uruguay around April or May 2021. The Uruguayan Embassy in Chicago told me that due to COVID-19, Uruguay is only allowing flights in from the U.S. for Uruguayan citizens, and they don’t know when they will allow all flights back in. Please pray that Uruguay will reopen for flights from the U.S. for non-citizens by early 2021. Also, please continue to pray for us as we look for housing there and work on our paperwork.

Your missionaries to Uruguay,

Tim, Christa, Ethan, Evan, and Emmalynn Simmons
