Tim Shook Prayer Letter: Quick Trip to the U.S. for a Missions ConferenceNear the beginning of this month, our family made a trip back to America for a missions conference. This conference was scheduled before our return to Thailand. It was to be our last meeting on deputation, but then the conference was rescheduled for September. Pastor Steve Hobbins of Lewis Avenue Baptist Church encouraged us to still come and be a part of their annual missions conference. He and the church graciously offered to pay for our plane tickets. Including travel days, our family was in America for nine days. We received a tremendous blessing from Lewis Avenue Baptist, and what an encouragement it was to see their heart for missions.

A few weeks after the conference, we received the good news that Lewis Avenue Baptist Church had taken us on for support, and this was a great blessing. Please pray that we continue to gain support as we are on the field.

The Lord has provided an experienced Thai language teacher for our team, and we will resume our Thai language studies, three times a week for two hours a day, in just a few days. As the team leader, it is my desire for every one of our team members to be fluent in the language and for each of us to make that a top priority.

Between the two of us, my wife and I have seen 20 souls come to Christ this month. As a family we have started revisiting these new converts throughout the week and encouraging them to come visit the church. This has become one of our favorite activities of each week. What a blessing to serve the Lord together as a family!
God has given the team members and me a great vision for our ministry here, and I am excited to see what the future may hold.

Your prayers and support make it possible for us to serve God. Thank you!
For Him,

Tim Shook
