Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season . . . .” (II Timothy 4:2) Unlike it does for many of you in the United States, things do not slow down here in the Philippines due to winter. We are blessed with a warm climate and opportunites to witness outdoors all year round.
The Ending of a Great Year:
December included our Christmas Program held on the 15th, where we saw many visitors come to hear the many special music numbers by our people and Pastor DeMoville’s preaching. During the invitation 29 were saved and 15 baptized! It was a great way to celebrate Christmas!
International Baptist Church finished 2013 with 7341 saved and 311 following the Lord in baptism. It thrills our hearts to see the growing number of soul winners at IBC and their boldness in sharing Christ.
Great Prospects for a New Year:
We have entered 2014 with a renewed emphasis on the follow-up of our converts with materials entitled “Come Grow With Us.” We are working at training each soul winner in our church to enlist each person they lead to Christ to come to the church services, be baptized, and become a soul winner themselves.
January 19th brought our church’s 3rd Anniversary Sunday with 367 in the morning service, 187 in the afternoon service, 58 salvations in church, and 19 baptized.
Our Bible college continues to do well. I enjoy teaching courses on Followship, How to Study the Bible, and Pastoral Epistles, as well as conducting daily chapels and taking the students out soul winning. Pray for these future Filipino independent Baptist pastors and missionaries!
I have taken on teaching the adult Sunday school class, and I am looking forward to the new opportunities this provides. Pray that we may see God add more adult men to our church family.
