Wouldn’t it be awesome if every time we were faced with a decision, we would have a divine teleprompter across the sky instructing us? Well, I am continuing to be reinforced that I’ve got something just as good in His Word and in the “still small voice of God.” Psalm 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
I have been encouraged in the Lord from Isaiah 42:6, “I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles.” I have been amazed in the Lord’s reinforcement in His direction in this next church plant. I believe the Lord is in it, and He will hold my hand/our hands through it. Not only has God spoken to me through His Word in this passage, but through another confirmation in the name of Rock Point Baptist Church. After a meeting in Ohio, a pastor put us up in a hotel room. Outside of this hotel was a large, lone rock with water bubbling out of the middle of it. Of course, I got a picture to show everyone.
We have returned from a couple thousand miles and several outstanding meetings and missions conferences. We are thankful for the Lord’s safety in our travels, and we pray that we were a fraction of a blessing that the Lord’s churches were to us. We have been in Virginia, Georgia, Wisconsin, New York, and Missouri in the last couple of months and have been able to share the Gospel a few different times to individuals. Krista was recently able to lead a lady named Charlotte to the Lord during the invitation at a church service and connected her with a discipler afterwards.
We are pleased to report that since our last update, we have seen some new churches support us, as well as some communicate that they will be supporting us very soon. This brings our current needed support level up to 50%. We are thankful for God’s provision and leadership. We are gearing up for another round of meetings in Illinois, Texas, Indiana, and Kansas.
Please pray again for safety in our travels, as well as for us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and for fruit in our soul-winning efforts.
