After our last report, we were out West for a quick couple of weeks before traveling out East and then finally back in the Midwest for some encouraging meetings. We are pleased to report another increase in our needed monthly support total, bringing us to around 83% actual support. We also have about another 10% in commitments. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and we are thankful for God’s provision and for many new partnerships in the ministry.
The family I asked you to pray for in our last report will be moving to Oahu on the 29th of May. Please continue to pray for the Stills family. Pray for them to have a smooth move, for them to secure housing, and for them to get settled. Having represented our missions teams and seeing having seen some of the benefits of team missions, we couldn’t be more excited to launch this church with another family.
Pastor Wayne Surface of Ohana Baptist Church recently helped us to incorporate our new church with the state, and I have already begun the process of officially applying for 501(c)(3) status.
We have several meetings through the months of May and June, and then we will be looking to fix up and sell our home during the month of July. Please pray that we can get our home sold for top dollar, as we have got a very costly move coming upon us. Please continue to pray for the remainder of our needed support to come in in order to set an official date of departure. I am continuing to schedule meetings, all while making preparations for the church plant.
During the last few weeks, we were able to give the Gospel to several people. I gave the Gospel to a man after helping him carry his old television out of his house; he didn’t get saved, but he said he would be visiting the church that I invited him to. I was also able to give the Gospel to a few people while up in Michigan. On that same day, Krista was used to see a lady come to Christ. Krista was also able to see a lady saved and come to church while at a missions conference in Pennsylvania, and she also saw several ladies put their faith in Christ at a park in Liberal, Kansas.
Another neat story happened while we were in Kansas. We went to a park where they had a butterfly exhibit where we could go inside a screened-in tent and feed Monarch butterflies red Gatorade from a foam paintbrush. The lady in charge lived in Florida but was in town for the week. We invited her to church, and she told us that she was saved and would try her best to visit the church. When she learned that we were from Indiana, she said that she had visited a church in Indiana for a marriage conference many years ago, and the pastor was Jack Hyles. She was amazed when we told her that that was our sending church. I’m thankful to be a part of a soul-winning church that loves people.
The Marasco Family
• Pray for traveling mercies and that we will be a blessing to the churches we visit.
• Pray for us to be soul-conscious, and pray that God’s power will be evident in our lives.
• Pray for the boys’ schooling—Sammy (1st grade) and Rocky (K-5); only10 more days of school!
• Pray for items needed for the upcoming church plant: tracts, start-up brochures, chairs, an electric piano, and a 15- passenger van. We will be shipping a 40-foot container to transport these items, a few personal items, and a vehicle.
