The end of July was bittersweet, as the church we were able to help start had a going-away party for us. They blessed us with many gifts and leis, and a couple of the dear families sang some special songs, including “Aloha Oe.” The next day we were thankful to be able to pass the baton to the wonderful Brian Kroll family as we said our “Alohas” to our friends and Ohana.
We arrived in Indiana about three weeks ago and have been busy trying to get new materials developed, as well as get settled for a brief time before we head out East to report back to and update some churches.
Thank you to those who have continued to support us financially and prayerfully. To those who are interested in having us represent and update, we are very thankful.
We are currently in the works of developing a church-planting arm of FBMI with Dr. Darrell Moore, Dr. Joseph Elwell, and Brother Billy Paugh. Our mission will be exclusively that of the Apostle Paul of preaching the Gospel and helping to organize and facilitate the establishing of New Testament churches worldwide.
I am excited to have been asked to teach a class for a day in September at Hyles-Anderson College on Church Planting. We will then be taking a furlough through most of the fall in order to report back to some churches, as well as to present our burden of church planting in some new ones. The first part of March, we plan on taking a travel trailer and locating in Northeastern Phoenix in order to help knock thousands of doors and help in the organizing of the Desert Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Reed. The start date for this new work is set for March 29, 2015. If you would be interested in canvassing doors and helping in this area and at this time, please let me know.
We were able to see 7 souls trust Christ as Saviour between Hawaii and Indiana. We were also able baptize a man named Stanton Muragan, who had trusted Christ as Saviour several months ago. Please pray for continued growth for this man and others. Please also pray for the birthing of the Desert Ridge Baptist Church. As we have learned in previous experiences, the Devil would love to be a hindrance.
