Aloha from Hilo! The last several months—the last few weeks in particular—have been a whirlwind of God’s leading and divine guidance. We are very pleased and excited to announce that the Pacific Baptist Church in Hilo, Hawaii, which had the privilege of birthing almost two years ago, has voted unanimously to receive a new pastor and family. During the next couple of months, we will be working to help the church transition with this new man of God and his wonderful ohana (family).
I believe the Lord is leading my family into more of an itinerant church-planting ministry that would allow us to be a part of the reproduction of many more churches. I truly believe that the key to reaching this world and experiencing revival is the planting of more Bible-preaching churches. The more churches we plant, the more missionaries we can send, and, of course, the more souls we can reach with the life-changing Gospel.
During our five-year tenure at FBMI and for First Baptist Church of Hammond, I had the privilege of being able to help with the starting of three missions teams that are all multiplying churches. A few other church-planting opportunities came about when I met Dr. Joseph Elwell while we were working at FBMI together. We were able to be a part of a church-planting team for several months as the Sun Valley Baptist Church in Anthem, Arizona, was started and is now pastored by a great man, Michael Moffitt. We also were able to be involved in some of the groundwork and early stages for the planting of the Freedom Baptist Church in Yuma, Arizona, pastored by Chad Matheny.
We have been asked to be a part of more church planting and will be partnering with Dr. Elwell in multiplying churches in many different regions. This expanding of ministry would allow us to be based out of Northwest Indiana and First Baptist Church of Hammond. I would like to sincerely ask for your continued prayer and support as we add to our original vision as missionaries to the Pacific Islands a more broad area of influence in North America and the Western Hemisphere. With this expanding of our ministry, our focus of church planting and soul winning has increased, along with our desire to bear much fruit to your accounts.
The target zones for the next church plants on the horizon are Scottsdale, Arizona, which has a population of 225,000 souls with very few independent, soul-winning Baptist churches. This plant is scheduled for early spring of 2015. We already have a prospective pastor for this church. Then our next area of target would possibly be Elkhart, Indiana. This target area consists of Elkhart, Mishawaka, South Bend, and Goshen, of which I could be the starting pastor. It is a large population of approximately 300,000 souls with very few soul-winning, independent Baptist churches. As we develop, we believe we could initially be a part of one to two church plants per year. We also foresee another church plant in Hawaii in the years to come.
We are excited, honored, and privileged to do a whole lot more of what we have already been doing. We are also excited for Pacific Baptist Church and are very confident that the pastor the Lord brought will do an excellent job in helping the church grow, both numerically and spiritually. We feel a sense of accomplishment in turning the church over, yet we would like to ask for your continued prayers for Pacific Baptist. We feel that the best is yet to come. Thank you for your support. None of this would be possible without you.

One of our wonderful families asked me to give the Gospel at their baby shower. We had a great crowd that Saturday and had 8 family members of Bro. Joel Lactaoan raise their hands indicating they trusted Christ as Saviour. We have also seen many saved during personal soul winning the last couple of months. Praise the Lord!
