Roberto Tirado Prayer Letter: Independence Day CelebrationPRAISE

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32) The national emblem of the Dominican Republic has the same colors as the Dominican Republic national flag—red, white, and blue; and the colors are arranged in the same way. In the center of the emblem is a Bible with a cross above it. The Bible is opened to John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Our church invited three Dominican pastors to preach our Dominican Independence Day celebration the last weekend of February. They preached the truth of God’s Word, and God blessed us with 30 souls saved and made free! We praise God for working through His Word and His servants to see souls come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ!

PRAYER

Please pray for a lady named Rosanna who was saved the Sunday night after our Independence Day services. She will soon be facing surgery and has requested that we pray for her. Rosanna came back to our church service on the following Sunday night, and I believe she wants to be faithful to God. Also, please keep our recent converts in your prayers as we do follow-up visitation and endeavor to teach them all things Jesus commanded us.

GRATITUDE

Elisabeth would like to thank everyone for the many kind birthday emails and cards. She turned 10 in February and has now lived in the Dominican Republic for eight years. Thank you, Pastor and church family. Your faithful support enables us to preach the Gospel and to win lost souls to Jesus Christ. It is an honor for Angela, Elisabeth, and me to represent you and your church to the needy Dominican and Haitian peoples.

For souls,

Roberto Tirado
