Roberto Tirado Family Prayer Letter: The People Had a Mind to Work!PRAISE

“So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.” (Nehemiah 4:6) The Iglesia Bautista la Gran Comisión celebrated its sixth anniversary with services on Friday, May 6, and Sunday, May 8. Our church is not a “big” church, but our people had a “mind to work,” and God truly blessed their hard work. We invited three preachers to preach the Word of God to us, and God worked mightily upon the people present. I believe that the four messages that were preached by these three men of God were exactly what our church needed to hear. As a result of the “mind to work” of our people, God’s preachers, and the working of the Holy Spirit, 43 precious people put their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour!

PRAYER

In our March prayer letter, I wrote that we were working to get all our paperwork submitted to Immigration to obtain our Dominican residency. All the required paperwork was submitted before the 30-day timeframe we were given. We were told by the authorities to return back to Immigration in two to three months when all the paperwork should be finalized. Please pray that there will be no delays in obtaining our residency. Also please pray for the incorporation of our church, as this will help us long-term here as missionaries in the Dominican Republic.

GRATITUDE

My family and I recognize and appreciate the prayers and sacrifice that go into the financial support we receive from our faithful supporting churches. I thank the Lord for your faithfulness to my family by giving and praying so that we can preach the Gospel of Christ to the needy Dominican and Haitian peoples. Thank you for standing with us in reaching lost souls and in edifying God’s people.

For souls,

Roberto Tirado
