Robert Tirado Prayer Letter: Temporary Residency Obtained!PRAISE

“Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (Psalm 37:4-5) It is a great pleasure to report to you that we recently received our Dominican temporary residency, which will be valid until July 2017! We prayed and worked diligently to obtain our temporary residency. There were plenty of speed bumps along the way, but God gave us the victory! Our ultimate goal is to obtain our permanent residency, which will involve more prayers, work, and patience. We thank each church and individual that prayed with and for us so that we could obtain our residency.

Just in the past 10 days, our God has given us the privilege of leading 14 precious souls to Jesus Christ. Seven were saved out soul winning, and the other 7 were saved in our church services. One thing that is certainly not lacking on our field is the need of people to be saved.

PRAYER

Please pray for our new converts to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ as we work to disciple them. In the 22 years since we have served as missionaries with FBMI, we have never had to return back from the fields of Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic for the sole purpose of raising more support. Praise the Lord for that! Since January of this year, 10 of our supporting churches have not been able to send us support. We ask you to pray that our support would continue to be sufficient for our family and ministry in the Dominican Republic.

GRATITUDE

Just over 22 years ago, I was appointed as a missionary with FBMI after completing Candidate School. Over the years FBMI has truly been blessed of God, and my family and I have been blessed likewise to serve alongside with them. The whole FBMI team has labored together with us and God to see souls saved and churches established. There is so much that the team does for us so that we can do the work of God on the field. My family and I want to express our deepest gratitude to each team member who has served God and ministered to us for these past 22 years. “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” (I Corinthians 3:9)

For souls,

Roberto Tirado
