Ricardo and Maria Leyva Prayer Letter: I Love What I Do!I am writing this letter just three days before the turning of a new year. By the time you receive and read this letter, it will already be 2023. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends! Thank you for another year of praying and supporting our ministry.

VISITING THE SAINTS AND ENCOURAGING THEM!

I recently made a visit to a family of four, whom I led to the Lord many years ago. The man was a drunkard, and the wife was a God-cursing person. Their two children were little back then, but they are now both adults. We prayed and fellowshipped. They asked me to stay and have lunch with them. They told me that they loved me, and they thanked me for bringing the Gospel to them many years ago, for not giving up on them, and for continually encouraging them. This family is a blessing to my life and ministry.

SOUL WINNING!

While visiting a Cuban pastor in the city of Santa Clara, I met a lady in a park. She claimed to be a Methodist, but she was not sure if she was going to Heaven when she died. I took her through the Bible, and she settled her salvation by asking Jesus to save her. I gave her name and address to the Cuban pastor for follow-up.

PASTORAL COUNSELING!

A pastor told me he had some questions about the ministry, so he invited us to spend Christmas Eve with his family so we could talk. My wife and I accepted, and we spent that time with them. We ate and fellowshipped. Then he and I sat apart to talk. I answered his questions with the Bible. I passed to him what older pastors passed to me. “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (II Timothy 2:2)

I love what I do: encouraging people, going soul winning, and counseling people. “. . . These things are good and profitable unto men.” (Titus 3:8)

I hope you had a great Christmas. Happy New Year 2023!

In His service,

Ricardo Leyva
