Osmin Gutierrez Prayer Letter: Raising Money, Buying Food, Giving It AwayI pray this correspondence finds you well. We thank God that He has taken care of our family and has provided our needs, especially during this COVID-19 crisis. Because of COVID-19, we have been under lockdown since March 11. We are allowed to go out once a week, according to the last number of our ID, to go to the bank, pharmacy, or grocery store. Being on lockdown means that people cannot go to work, which has put a lot of people in the very dire situation of not being able to provide for their very basic needs, such as food. We have had to help some of our members and the general community with food.

Our last 6 weeks or so have consisted of raising money, buying food, and giving it away. We put together bags of food with 4 pounds of sugar, 4 pounds of rice, 5 pounds of flour, 5 pounds of corn flour, 3 pounds of beans, spaghetti, a few packages of tomato paste, and oil. This feeds a family for about 4-5 days. By God’s grace, we have given out about 200 of these bags.

The government is trying to reopen the economy little by little because they know the lockdown is brutal for some people. They allowed the hardware stores to open last week, and I heard that they are going to allow restaurants to deliver food and use their drive-throughs. However, it is going to take awhile before things get back to “normal.” I am asking that you prayerfully consider helping this feeding ministry until people can get back on their feet. If you are willing to help us, please contact me through my email at osmingutierrez@fbmi.org, as this is an urgent need, and I am trying to collect as much money as I can as soon as possible.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you and continue to use you.
Truly,

Osmin Gutierrez
