Montana Morrow Prayer Letter: A New Year With New Blessings! What’s New?

January was our last month on the field, as the Wyatt family returned from their furlough. We praise and thank God for the opportunity we had to be a blessing and assist in the ministries of Faith Baptist Church during the seven months we were there. We made and strengthened our friendships with our church family, and God taught us much through them.

Blessings and Answers to Prayer!

We saw many souls saved during our time there, and each and every one of them had a unique, personal story. When we first arrived in Morogoro, I went into town to get a Tanzanian SIM card so I could use my phone. One day, I headed down an alley where I saw a little red stand where I met a man named Leopold. I quickly discovered that he understood a little English, and I became a regular customer every time I needed minutes refilled on my phone. Each time I visited, God burdened my heart for Leopold’s soul. Over time, Leopold and I became friends.

The Thursday before we left Tanzania, I asked Pastor Wyatt to come with me to witness to Leopold. Everything started out great, but distractions kept happening—people wanting to do business and debate theology. My heart sank, as I desperately wanted Leopold to hear the Gospel clearly. I began to pray silently for almost 10 minutes. Suddenly, the conversations stopped, and Leopold’s head bowed, in addition to two others, as they accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. Overjoyed, I shook Leopold’s hand and told him how I had been praying for this day for almost seven months. How amazing is the power of the Holy Spirit and prayer!

After returning to America, we enjoyed a service at my home church and my wife’s home church in Illinois. We had our first meeting in Clinton, Illinois, on February 10; and, praise God, they took us on for support! Pastor Ed Cain was such a blessing to us! This brings our support level to 48%! We are so excited for what 2019 holds and look forward to making some new friends at the churches we visit.

This year we have a brand-new deputation video and presentation and many stories to tell! God has been so good to us, and we want to share the news of what He is doing in Tanzania with every church we can!

Goals

Please pray that the rest of our schedule for 2019 fills up quickly so we can return to Tanzania full-time. We know ultimately that God provides the meetings and moves in people’s hearts. If you know a church that you think would be blessed by what God is doing through us, please let us know by emailing us morrowtanzania@hotmail.com or by calling us at (319) 360-4155.

Your fellow laborers in Christ,

Montana and Kellie Morrow
