I am amazed at the wisdom and timing of God! Taiwan had not been a thought that we had given a lot of consideration to. It is China—Chinese people, Chinese food, Chinese language, old Chinese culture–but with freedom of religion, etc.
In the beginning of February, my wife and I, along with our youngest child, took about a two-week trip to Taiwan. Through Brother K___, the Lord arranged for us to visit 13 different men or works while there. The need is overwhelming!
God provided amazingly for our trip! Thank you, Faith Baptist Church of Berne, Indiana, for your timely financial gift. The trip went AMAZINGLY smooth! We were able to preach, teach, sing, pass out literature, give the Gospel, and visit many works while there. People there are steeped in idolatry. We saw people everywhere burning “god money” on the streets (Exodus 23:13).
Through all of this, God’s providential protection and timing has been so very obvious! Thank you all for your prayers!
In Taiwan, God has seemingly provided an open door. Unless God directs otherwise, that is where we are pointing our little vessel by faith. As a missionary in Taiwan, you must have a sponsor, and the man who was so instrumental in our trip has one slot open.
We will need to raise a little more support because of the increase in the cost of living. Traveling to raise additional support has been put on hold because of the COVID-19 epidemic. Please pray that God would give us productive meetings when the quarantine lifts.
