Missionary #6004 Prayer Letter: We Yield as He Leads and Guides“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:6)

What a relief to know that as we yield ourselves to God, He leads and guides our lives. During the months of February and March, we have been privileged to have God lead us in many ways. He has led us to see 10 people saved so far. S___ was able to lead 3 Chinese visitors to the Lord in the Asian Sunday School Class. I also was able to assist 3 Chinese visitors to the Lord in the Sunday School class.

Then one particular Saturday while I was out soul winning, I was getting more than my fair share of negative responses as I passed out tracts. I complained to the Lord about this and asked Him to direct me to someone who wanted to listen. The only people I had in sight were some teenagers playing basketball. Distracting teens from their entertainment usually does not yield the best results, but it wasn’t going to be the first negative response I had gotten that day, so I went to speak with them anyway. After a very brief introduction, the opportunity presented itself to give the Gospel to 2 of the young men standing at the side of the court. They were extremely polite and respectful. I asked if they could show me a Bible verse that they trusted to get them to Heaven. As I talked more, the 2 young men who were playing one-on-one came over to see what I was saying to their friends. I was able to go through the entire plan of salvation with all of them listening carefully. When I finished introducing them to Jesus, I asked if they wanted to ask Him to save them. All 4 indicated they understood and would like to accept Christ. S___, F___, V___, and E___ bowed their heads there on the court and accepted Jesus into their hearts. Slam dunk for Jesus!

God has also led us to many great churches in the last two months. Many wonderful, soul-winning, God- fearing, Bible-believing churches have warmly welcomed us to present the work of God to them. We loved being with God’s people in the Ohio cities of Findlay, Delaware, Marysville, Galion, Shelby, Crestline, and Streetsboro. We also had the privilege of joining some friends in Livonia, Michigan, for a wonderful Sunday morning. The nature of this meeting stirred my heart to get back to the people of China. Praise the Lord for those churches that decided to partner with us to increase and continue the work that God has been doing in China! They have helped us get a few more steps closer to where our heart is. We also thank the Lord for all the people we have met who began praying for us. As I mentioned already, the Lord leads, and we need Him to continue leading us as we travel and schedule meetings.

Please continue to pray for wisdom with S___’s health. Also, we obviously need prayer for protection as we travel, as well as God’s blessings on our efforts to schedule the meetings that will lead us back to China in His time.
