Mike Sarver Prayer Letter: Your Fellowship in the GospelThank you for supporting our work here in Ghana. Thank you for giving. Thank you for praying for us. Thank you for following our team on social media and for being interested in our ministry. “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:3-6) If you are reading this, then please realize you mean the world to us!

New Bible College Students

God has blessed our Bible college with several new students recently. Leticia is from a nearby church. Lydia is a former church member who moved too far away to attend our church; she attends a sister church about an hour away. However, she comes once a month for our Bible college modular because she wants to serve the Lord. Abraham is the son of a Baptist pastor in a different region of Ghana. Hayford was reached by one of our daughter churches. Fredrick was reached by our graduate and staff member, Kingsley. Another new student is Pastor Yaw Frimpong.

Last month, Pastor Frimpong (pictured below) came to inquire about our Bible college. After giving him some information about our Bible college, I asked him about his salvation. He was trusting a combination of Christ and his own behavior as his hope for Heaven. He allowed me to share the Scriptures with him, graciously admitted his error, and very humbly called upon Christ alone to save him. And this week, he returned to enroll in our Bible college. I was very pleased to have him in my personal-finance class this week. Thank God for these new students; let’s keep praying for more laborers.

Visitors!

September was our Visitor-Emphasis Month (which is like a Fall Program) here at the Fundamental Baptist Church International of Kumasi, Ghana. Our class was blessed with 48 visitors; 25 of these came more than once in September. After averaging 100 in August, we averaged over 110 in September. Praise the Lord!

My class members, Patrice (not pictured) and Samson (in the yellow shirt in the picture at the top of this post), go soul winning with me on Saturdays. Several weeks ago, we preached the Gospel to Victoria and her three sons. They all came to church in September. The boys have come to church several times now. Please pray for all of these new converts to grow in grace and make our church their church.

Your servants and His,

Mike, Maria, John, Joy, Faith, and Ben Sarver
