Micah Christiansen Prayer Letter: New Christians and a New Christiansen! We are excited to announce that Ezekiel John Christiansen was born on February 3, 2019. He was a week and a half past due, but when he decided to come, he didn’t waste any time! He was born only half an hour after Abbie’s contractions became strong and regular. We see God’s loving care and your prayers in how everything worked together for this birth. We were already at the hospital to do a test when the labor started in earnest. The midwives were so shocked at how quickly Abbie progressed! We would not have had time to get to the hospital once the warning signs became serious; Abbie would have given birth in the car. As it was, AnnaBeth and all her things were already with our missionary team members, the Sarvers, and we had everything we needed for an overnight stay packed in the car. Thank God for His provision and protection!

As we are adding to our family, it is such a blessing to be used to add people to God’s family. God is so great and gracious; He can even use our moments of stupidity for His glory. I locked my keys in my car. It was time to go home, and I was at the church, watching someone try to unlock my car with a piece of wire. I felt like an idiot, and it didn’t help when a young man passing through the church property stopped to watch. He chatted with me and watched the whole time until the door was unlocked. Then we went our separate ways. A couple of weeks later, I met a young man on the street. He asked me if I knew him. He did look familiar, but I couldn’t place him. He was the one watching when my keys were locked in the car! I learned his name was James, and I found out where he lived. After a couple of weeks of trying, I caught him at home when he wasn’t busy. His younger brother Evans was there too. I gave the Gospel to them, and they trusted in Jesus for salvation. As I followed up with them, I met James’ older brother Steven, and I was able to lead him to Christ also. Three brothers were saved, and it all led back to my locking my keys in my car. God is strong in weakness!

Gyasi and Baffour were both saved as a result of my neighborhood Bible Club. They both attended Bible Club regularly for several months, but neither seemed interested in coming to church. However, Gyasi became the translator for the witnessing segment of Bible Club. Baffour was sometimes used as a worker as well. They experienced some growth. In just the last couple of months, Gyasi and Baffour have started attending church and have begun going soul winning. Both of them have been able to translate the Gospel for people who got saved. They are working on our church’s discipleship curriculum. Please pray for these two teenagers to grow and be faithful. Please pray for their mothers to get saved; the mothers do not speak much English, and I have not been able to get a Twi-speaking soul winner to them yet.

Yours for souls,

Micah Christiansen
