God has put our family and the world on an incredible journey, but as Christians, we can trust in His faithful and providential works. We also want to praise God for two new supporting churches! Thank you, Pastor T.J. Mitchell and the people of Bayou Baptist Church of Monroe, Louisiana, and Pastor Warren Johnson and the people of Grace Baptist Church of Flower Mound, Texas, for taking part in the furtherance of the Gospel! “But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.” (Psalm 73:28)
On April 5, we were able to share God’s work for us in Japan with Pastor Brian Rice and the people of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our plan was to visit this church in the summer, but God moved our meeting to an earlier date. Pastor Rice has been so kind by letting us borrow his vehicle during our stay. The same day we were presenting at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Pastor P.J. Pallini shared a video of us via live-stream.
In this letter, we would like to be more detailed about how God has been providing. Before we arrived in Canada, we were preparing to be back in the U.S. at least by the beginning of April, so we arrived in Canada with only our personal belongings. During our stay, God has given us so many necessities to borrow or have. He has provided a vehicle, food, baby clothes, a car seat, a stroller, a baby bed, a doctor, and even a hospital. God has shown us He truly owns everything in this world.
Just months ago, we could have never imagined that we would be having our next baby in Canada. While here in Canada, we met another pastor and his family (the Ward family). Mrs. Ward mentioned to us that she knew of a Christian doctor, and if we needed to see a doctor while we were in Canada, we should consider seeing him. We politely thanked her for sharing the information but did not plan on needing another doctor. We thought we were going to return to California, but God used Mrs. Ward to tell us of a doctor for a good reason.
Since we had not been able to return to California, we decided it was time to find Dr. De Ridder to get medical advice about whether we should wait or have the baby in Canada. During an appointment, God used someone again to make it clear of His plan. Dr. De Ridder said it would not be wise to travel because of how far along Arianna was. She was farther along than we thought. By the time we had the appointment with Dr. De Ridder, Arianna was 38 weeks pregnant. In fact, a week later, Arianna was admitted into the hospital. What a joy it is to see the Holy Spirit work in His journey for us! We love seeing God do miracles in our lives! It was so exciting to see God provide for our every need.
On May 1, 2020, at 2:26 a.m., Royce was given to us. To God be the glory! Arianna and the baby are healthy, and we are so grateful for all the times you went to God in prayer on behalf of Arianna’s pregnancy. By your prayers, God gave her the strength she needed. Thank you!
Please pray for:
