Mark Siegwart Prayer Letter: IT'S NOT TOO LATE!We would like to thank you for your continued support and faithful prayers as we seek to raise support to reach the uttermost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. July and August we were in meetings in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and New Jersey. What a blessing to meet fine Christians across the nation with a heart for missions.

I would like to share a special blessing with each of you. One of the challenges of not being plugged into the same church ministry each week is that although we see folks saved, we usually do not get to disciple them or see them grow since we are often in different churches. This was a little frustrating for me since I have grown up being very involved in my church and especially with helping individuals on a weekly basis.

God allowed us to cross the path of an older gentleman named Arsenio. We first met Arsenio on the side of the road. His car had stopped running as we were in traffic behind him, so I pushed it off to the side and gave him a ride to a nearby restaurant where we talked. I gave him my card, telling him to call me if I could help him with anything else. Later that day he emailed me, thanking me for the help.

This email became a dialog of conversations that grew over the weeks into a friendship. Finally, one week that we were in town, we were able to pick him up and bring him to church. He has continued to attend church even while we are out of town, and recently I received this email from him.

That first day I went to church with you, I felt the vibrations of the services and the tranquility around me. I have never experienced a more tranquil state of complete peace. Meeting you has been a complete pleasure that only God could have arranged. Through Geo I also learned that your father is a pastor in the church in Michigan. So happy to know that. Perhaps that’s the reason you are so well behaved and adjusted. You are probably the most perfect person I have ever met.

I feel that I have been communicated with God, and I feel that God is preparing me for a long journey. I also feel that God always saves the very best for the last. I feel in a new birth in God and Christ. Thank you for accepting me as a friend and for sharing your religion with me. It’s such a great feeling to be born again.

Arsenio may be 84 years old, but he is a new creature in Christ and excited about being saved and doing great things for God! If you’re still breathing, it’s not too late to trust Christ, get involved, or be part of reaching the uttermost with the love of Christ, whether it is around the corner or around the world!

Thank you for taking the time to read our update. May God continue to bless each of you in a very special way for the part you are playing in making Him known.

Your servants in Christ,

Mark and Laura
