Mark Siegwart Prayer Letter: Glory to God!“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14) With just a couple of days till Christmas, it is exciting to reflect on all the opportunities that the Lord allowed us to be a part of this year and also to look forward to the exciting possibilities that He has for the New Year.

Just a few moments ago, I got off the phone with Nathan Smoot, a missionary pilot to Alaska. Nearly two years ago, we were able help him get the training to start flying. Since that time he has been flying to villages in Alaska, sharing the love of Jesus Christ. He called to inform me that he has nearly completed all the required training to get his Instrument Rating, which will allow him to be even more useful in reaching more areas. Please join us in praying that he can accomplish this quickly. The aircraft he uses to serve up there is also in need of its avionics being updated. Please pray for wisdom and direction on the best way to accomplish this.

Recently the Stationair 206, the aircraft we use the most for missions, came out of the avionics shop. The FAA is requiring some new equipment to be installed, and we were thankful to be able to get it in, since the avionics shops are getting busier as the deadline for the equipment to be installed approaches. Garmin and the installer were able to give us some great discounts, but the project was still a costly one. Our friends, the Highfills, have been such a help through this process.

Since I last visited Haiti, they were hit yet again with another tragic hurricane. Although I am very thankful that the area hit was not where most of our friends live, there are still many homes, churches, and families devastated by the destruction. Any prayers and support are appreciated in helping these precious people.

On a recent trip to Mexico, the Lord allowed me to visit the Murillos, who are missionaries in Guadalajara. They have served there faithfully for many years. Recently their orphanage, full of beautiful children, was unjustly raided. Since my visit, some of the children have been returned, and progress is being made; but please continue to pray that God would work in the hearts of all involved so that the children can all enjoy a safe and loving place to be nurtured in. If you would like to donate directly to them and the Annabel De Vellejo Home for Children, you can find them on the FBMI website.

We are looking forward to many more opportunities to advance the love of Christ to all nations through mission aviation and working with national pastors. Please continue to pray for wisdom and guidance as we enter this New Year.

Your servants in Christ,

Mark and Laura Siegwart
