With a quarter of the year behind us and the halfway mark of 2018 closely approach-ing, we want to extend our warmest regards to each of you as you continue to minister in the field to which God has called you.
Thank you so much for your continued support, both in the prayer and financial departments. The prayer support was needed even more over the last six months especially. In our previous update, we asked each of you to pray for the lawsuit against the church my dad pastored (before his Homegoing) and my mom. We are happy to report that the lawsuit has been resolved. What an awesome God! The individuals decided to drop the suit. This is a huge answer to prayer and could not have happened without each of you praying. Prayer works! Even though our lawyer was so kind as to discount us thousands in legal charges, we still were left with paying a large amount. We believe the Lord will continue to provide. With the lawsuit behind us, we are excited about what the rest of 2018 has in store.
Just the other day, I was speaking to a young man from a communist country. As I talked to him, I found out his dad had recently passed away, and we connected while talking about our dads. Since he was studying abroad, he was unable to return for his dad’s funeral. As I shared with him the Gospel, he looked at me and said, “I hope that is true. I would like to see him again.” Thousands of people still live without the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They need and want this hope!
The link, https://youtu.be/7l1Kv6oLIYk, gives the Gospel message, or it can be found by searching “The Airplane Crash that could SAVE YOUR LIFE.” Please share it with anyone to whom it might be a help. We have had several people reached for Christ through Mom’s presentation, and we hope that Dad, who was a passionate soul winner, will continue to be able to reach souls for the kingdom of God by his story and service to others.
Having the opportunity to share the love of Jesus on three continents and in five countries just this year leaves us greatly humbled that God allows us to be used as servants for the cause of Christ. Laura is especially excited for our next upcoming trip to Cuba, where she will be able to meet, for the first time, the pastor and family that we have been supporting for over a year now.
Please keep our efforts in prayer as we pursue the new opportunities that are opening to reach even more of the uttermost with the love of Christ.
Your servants in Christ,
Mark and Laura Siegwart
