Mark Rader Prayer Letter: Creation Bible Study Started

Dear Praying Friends,

Our February and March here in Peru marched past us quickly but not without gaining many blessings along the way. Sarah and Samuel, our newborn, are sleeping better now, but they are still a long way still from sleeping through the night. Meanwhile, we’re still seeing souls saved, people baptized, and more Bible studies started.

After many weeks of Sarah asking one of the security guards who watches our street at night to come to church, he finally came. During the service John led him to Christ and talked to him about baptism. The same night I had the privilege to baptize him. Praise God!

We are having a great time teaching the children’s class in the church in Surco. Because we are in the big city, it is difficult to find anyone with a heart to lead children, but God gave us Leslie. At first Leslie was a little intimidated by the children, but she quickly fell in love with them and gained their acceptance. Now she is leading 75% of the children’s program. Leslie and John have helped us start a creation Bible study in Surco. After three weeks Joyce, one of the ladies of our class, made a banner for our class. We are now seeing the adults of the church become excited about their faith like never before.

Eziquiel Martinez, pastor of the church in Surco, found a building for the church with twice the space only one block away on the same street. We have already moved, and we already have an increase in attendance. Our second week there, one of the faithful men of the church decided that is was time to be baptized. That evening not only he but also his wife and son were all baptized. Amen!

God has been good to us through all the changes in our lives these past two months. Please continue to pray for us. We will need to leave the country again to renew our children’s visas. The good news is that we have their paperwork ready to go upon re-entry. Thank you for your support, love, and prayers. God bless you.

His for souls,

Mark, Sarah, Savannah, Paul, & Samuel Rader
