Mark Rader Prayer Letter: Christmas Play Brings Parents to ChurchDear Praying Friends,

Our December here in Peru was truly delightful. Every week in our services, souls were saved and baptized. All of our churches had big events, resulting in raised attendances and souls saved.

I must tell you about something my wife did that was just remarkable. My wife Sarah leads the children’s choir. For our evening service on Christmas Day, she had all the church children, who could participate, dress up in costume for a Christmas carol. Pastor Hubbard liked it so much that he asked them to sing twice. Many of the children’s parents, who had never come before then, came that night to see their children. We almost doubled our Wednesday night attendance. Many were saved, and 2 were baptized on Christmas Day. Can I get an “Amen”!

We have taken over some new responsibilities. We are now leading the Junior Church and nursery in the church in Surco. Shortly after Sarah’s pregnancy, we hope to start various Bible studies in the Surco area. On our first day visiting in Surco, we saw 3 saved. We believe God will do great works in Surco.
Please pray for the Surco area of Lima, Peru.

Please pray for Sarah and the baby, as her due date, February 4, is fast approaching. Please pray for her iron levels specifically. A huge answer to pray to report is that Sarah and I have now obtained our permanent-residency status. We now can start the process for our children. Please pray that we can finish theirs before their visas expire.

We hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s. Thank you to those who sent gifts and offerings for our Christmas. Savannah and Paul were spoiled with gifts. My wife and I had a very sweet Christmas. Thank you for your prayers. We can feel them now more than ever. Thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers. Happy New Year, and God bless you.

In Christ in Peru,

Mark, Sarah, Savannah, Paul, & Baby Rader
