Mark Rader Prayer Letter: Breaking RecordsGod has blessed us supremely this August and September here in Peru. Our son Paul has started kindergarten. Every week we’ve had visitors in our services. We’re leading souls to Christ, and our people are learning to do the same at our soul-winning luncheons. Regular weekly attendance records have been broken, and new families are attending faithfully. Julio Durand has started a new Sunday school class for teenagers. Also on Thursday nights, Abraham Avila is leading a discipleship class with many in attendance. We are also having the privilege to preach at other churches.

The construction on the church continues. In August we finished our biggest project yet—the roof. Our auditorium now has a roof. The timing was impeccable. The first Sunday with a roof was also the first Sunday with rain during our service. The auditorium was full, and the people were dry. God is good!

Sarah’s mom and dad, Phillip and Frances Davis, came for a three-week visit. Because they were missionaries in Mexico and speak fluent Spanish, we were able to involve them in everything. We were also able to get away for a few days for some much-needed family fun. I’m so thankful for Spirit-filled in-laws. We were singing and winning souls to Christ almost every day. Their visit was a recharge to our batteries.

Our institute is marching forward. In August, we talked about marriage. God had doubled our previous attendance record for the institute. The auditorium was full, and the response was excellent. One blessing in particular was hearing Heather Kokubun’s testimony about being thankful for what you already have in marriage. In September, we invited Abraham Avila to speak about child rearing. We had both parents and teenagers taking the class. The parents said that they were both edified and encouraged by the class. Something happened with the teenagers that we did not expect. After teaching on how to rear teenagers, the teenagers and young adults in the class opened up to us personally . . . and some with tears. We had a great time, and much was accomplished.

Thank you for your partnering with us in this great work. Please pray for our family and church, as we will be participating in some big conferences this coming month. Please pray for big upcoming evangelizing opportunities. Thank you for all your love, support, and prayers. God bless you!
