Mark Rader Prayer Letter: A Workshop for PastorsOctober and November have been packed with God’s blessings here in Peru. On November 27, we celebrated four years in Peru and my spiritual birthday. New families have joined the church, and we’ve had to buy more chairs. Souls are being saved and baptized, and we have had many church activities.

For one of these activities, we went to one of the world’s largest cemeteries not far from our church. November 1 is the Day of the Dead here in Peru. Many will visit the tombs to pray for their dead loved ones and burn incense. There were people everywhere. Some places were so crowded that we had to squeeze in between people. Twenty-one of our church members passed out 12,000 tracts in 3 hours. This was an eye-opening experience and a great spiritual victory for many of our people.

Our institute is steadily marching forward. On November 12, our institute hosted a Pastors’ Workshop with 44 present, including more than 20 pastors. For eight hours we taught our series,
Physical Proof of the Faith, and we presented the institute for the upcoming year. The response was very positive and very promising for the year to come. Our people did a tremendous job of caring for all of the details to help me teach with peace of mind. We want to say thank you to Pastor Zach Foust for his help and leadership on that day.

We have had great meetings with our ladies, men, and teens. Julio Durand has taken responsibility for our youth program. We just had our first two youth nights, and they were a huge success. Please pray for Julio and his wife Kim as they continue this work.

Sarah’s pregnancy is going well. Thank you for continuing to pray for her. Thank you for your prayers for our church and our institute. The Lord is continuing to bless, and we are outgrowing our present facility. Please pray that God will open a door to a larger facility. Please pray that God will give us opportunity to influence many lives and many churches through our institute.

We cannot thank you enough for your love, sacrifice, and prayers. We feel your prayers every day. Thank you to many of you for your Christmas gifts and offerings, and to all we say, “Merry Christmas!” God bless you.

Feliz Navidad,

Mark, Sarah,
Savannah, Paul, Samuel, and one more Rader
