Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: We Are Meeting on Church Property Again!“Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.” (Lamentations 5:21) I pray you are doing well when you receive this prayer letter. My family and I are doing well, and we greatly appreciate everything you continue to do for us during these difficult times.

We are thrilled that, on May 31, we were able to once again meet on our church property. We continue to broadcast our services through Facebook Live and YouTube. We had four (4) first-time visitors who had been watching our services online and decided to pay us a visit. One of the visitors was a doctor in one of our local hospitals.

Thank you so much for praying for our daughter Carolina Raquel. She was hospitalized for seven (7) days with Influenza A and other health issues. We are thankful that she’s now home recovering. Our son Jose was also sick with Influenza A but was not hospitalized.

During these times I’ve been able to preach the Gospel in several funerals. One was for Hector, a 79-year-old man who was recently saved in our church. Several family members were saved at the funeral. The other service was for Luis Torres, a 51-year-old pilot from our church. Several years ago, Luis was saved and baptized in our church. He taught Sunday school, attended Pastors’ School with me in Hammond, Indiana, and loved Jesus very much. During the funeral, many pilots and family members heard the Gospel, including the mayor of his city who was in attendance.

Because of COVID-19, we were not able to continue rebuilding our Fellowship Hall, but as of this week, we were able to purchase steel and roofing materials to continue rebuilding. Please help us pray that we can complete this project by August, as we desperately need this building in order to meet the new COVID-19 requirements and guidelines for our Christian school.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
