Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: Suffer Little Children

Recently a 10-year-old bus kid from our church by the name of Keniel was burdened about his 63-year-old grandfather who was dying with cancer. Keniel boldly witnessed to his grandfather, and his grandfather was sweetly saved. After his grandfather passed away, Keniel immediately focused on comforting his grandmother, telling her that his grandfather was in Heaven. I thank God for a church where children and teenagers want to win the lost for Christ.

A young man by the name of Abner came to our church a month after his mom had died. He was so grateful that we had attended his mother’s funeral. During the invitation, one of our deacons won Abner to Christ. Please pray that he will follow the Lord in believer’s baptism.

I’m glad to report that every family in our church now has electricity and running water. I’m also glad to report that our insurance settled our claim, and we are in the process of repairing and reconstructing our Fellowship Hall and all the major damages caused to our property by Hurricane Maria. We ask that you please pray for safety and wisdom as we continue to rebuild. Several of our church families have returned to Puerto Rico.

My son Luis graduated from Lighthouse Baptist Academy and has been accepted to attend Hyles-Anderson College in the fall of 2018. Luis loves the Lord and loves people. Please pray for Luis as he attends Bible college.
