Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: Starting Our OrphanagePsalm_23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” I pray that when you receive this letter, you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing well and would like to thank you so much for being a part of this ministry.

Recently during one of our “Big Days,” a man by the name of Victor came to church. He did not get saved that Sunday, but he continued coming to church. Several weeks later as I was driving him to church, he told me that he was scared and was not sure that when he died he would go to Heaven. As soon as we arrived at church, I pulled out my Bible and showed him how to be saved. With tears in his eyes, Victor prayed and asked Jesus to be his personal Saviour.

The Lord has answered a very special and important prayer request. In our last prayer letter, we asked that you please help us pray for a deaf interpreter, which we desperately needed. The Lord can do above and beyond and sent us two (2) deaf interpreters that rotate each week. This is a huge blessing!

After much work with government officials, I’m thrilled to announce that we have been approved to operate an orphanage. There are so many fatherless children here in Puerto Rico. I really believe God will use this ministry to see many saved and helped.

During the month of September, I had the great honor to attend and speak at this year’s Pastors’ School in Lima, Peru. Even though my time there was cut short, I was able to preach four (4) times. I saw God move in hearts, and many decisions for Christ were made. I’m amazed at the work God is doing through Team Peru.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• Please pray for souls to be saved, baptized, added to the church, and discipled.
• Please pray for the reconstruction of our Fellowship Hall.
• Please pray for wisdom and guidance as we start the orphanage.

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
