Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: Converts Being Discipled and Growing in the LordDear Christian Friends,

Mark 16:15 says, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

I pray you are doing well when you receive this prayer letter. My family and I are doing well, and we greatly appreciate your prayers.

I would like to start out by thanking God for all those who were saved, baptized, and added to the church in 2013. I also want to thank Him for those who are growing in the Lord and being discipled.

Recently a family moved to our city from Kuwait. The husband came to church and was saved. He also brought his wife, who was also saved and baptized.

A lady by the name of Awilda started coming to church. She grew up all her life in a Roman Catholic Church but felt empty. She came to our church and heard the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and was sweetly saved. I was privileged to baptize her recently.

A couple started attending our church because they were interested in learning sign language. The husband was already saved, but the wife was not. After hearing the preaching for several weeks, she felt convicted. This lady is Mexican and felt comfortable approaching my wife and telling here she needed to be saved. Angelica was saved and baptized and is now being discipled.

During the month of January, I was able to attend my home church, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. While I was there, I had the honor to preach at Hyles-Anderson College. I was also honored to give a Missions Update and preach in the Spanish Church. It sure was special to see so many friends.

I want to thank the Morning Star Baptist Church of Pacolet, South Carolina, and my dear friend, Pastor Andrew Carrigan, for the very generous love offering they sent us to repair the roof in our Fellowship Hall. The roof has been repaired, and we thank the people of the Morning Star Baptist Church for their generosity.

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
