Luke 14:23 says, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” I pray that when you receive this letter, you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing well, and we greatly appreciate everything you do to help and support this ministry here in Puerto Rico.
I believe God is interested in His house being filled, and that was our goal for our 31st church anniversary. Not only did the Lord fill up His house with His people but also with many first-time visitors, teens, children, and deaf. Most important of all, His house was filled with His presence. I thank God for those who heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and were saved, baptized, and added to the church. Please pray for us as we disciple them and encourage them to grow in the Lord.
Thank you for praying for Puerto Rico. Our governor decided not to run for re-election. The U.S. Congress is discussing ways to equip Puerto Rico with the tools necessary to overcome this debt crisis affecting all Puertoricans. I’m thankful that many Puertoricans are now looking up to Heaven for help.
During the month of June, my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. My son Luis Jr. also celebrated his 16th birthday. Thank you very much for all the gifts, cards, and phone calls. We were so blessed and encouraged by your thoughtfulness.
Please pray for our family as we travel to Mexico to visit several weeks with my wife’s family. Please pray for safety and for God’s power as I speak in several churches. During the month of July, we will be attending Candidate School and Youth Conference at our home church, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana.
