Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: 22 Years on the Field of Puerto Rico!John 15:16 says, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” I pray that when you receive this letter, you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing very well and would like to thank you so much for being a part of this ministry.

During the month of August, my wife and I celebrated 22 years of service here in Puerto Rico. Without a doubt, it has been such an honor and a privilege to serve the Lord Jesus Christ here in Puerto Rico. Lord willing, we look forward to another 28 more years of service here in Puerto Rico. Our goal and prayer is that God would allow us 50 years of service here on this island and that many more would be saved and reached for the kingdom of Heaven.

Because of COVID-19, many families have not returned to church. I’ve been in constant contact with these families and have asked them if we could have services in their homes. One family allowed me to conduct a service in their home, so we arrived early and invited their neighbors to the service. To my surprise, nine (9) people showed up. After the message, I gave an invitation for salvation, and five (5) of them received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. I’m now able to continue conducting a service once a week and discipling these new converts.

Please continue praying for Puerto Rico. Not only are we battling with the COVID-19 pandemic government shutdown and regulations, but we are also being hit with constant earthquakes and tropical storms that have caused damages to our island.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• Please pray for souls to be saved, baptized, added to the church, and discipled.
• Please pray for the reopening of our Christian school, Lighthouse Baptist Academy; we are conducting virtual classes at this time.
• Please continue praying for the health of our daughter Carolina Raquel.
• Please pray for the completion of our Fellowship Hall.

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. We are so amazed and extremely grateful for your continued support and prayers during these challenging times. God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
