Luis and Carolina Martinez Prayer Letter: God Continues to BlessIsaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” I wanted to start off by wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023. As we close out the year, I thank God for all of the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. I’m grateful that we get to serve Him here in Puerto Rico. I thank God for friends like you who sacrifice financially during these tough economic times so that we can win the lost to Christ.

The Lord continues to bless the church with visitors and with souls saved. Recently while out soul winning, I led a man by the name of Isai to Christ. When I met him, I asked him if he knew his name was in the Bible. This opened up a conversation, which led to Isai praying the sinner’s prayer and asking Jesus Christ to be his Saviour. A week later, I saw him again, and he remembered our conversation.

The other church I oversee in Humacao if going very well and growing. We are conducting services there on Sundays and Thursdays. Our recent Veterans Day service in Humacao went well, with 3 first-time visitors. We are praying that God would call a man to pastor this church.

During the month of October, I was privileged to travel and preach in Mexico at the ranch where my wife was born and grew up. To my surprise, close to 100 people came to the service, and there were 10 professions of faith, including Mauro, my brother-in-law. During the invitation, I kept saying that we should accept the free gift of salvation that God is giving us. My brother-in-law said that every time I preach to him, I offer him this free gift and that this time he was going to accept the gift . . . and HE DID!

PRAYER REQUESTS

• Pray that God would send a pastor for the church in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
• Please pray for the health of our daughter Carolina Raquel.
• Pray for our Christmas and New Year’s services, which will be on Sunday this year. Pray that many visitors would come, hear the Gospel, and be saved.

Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. Without you, we could not be here. Thank you for having a part in this ministry. I thank God for what HE is doing. We are humbled and honored to represent you in Puerto Rico. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023. God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
