Kounaro Keo Prayer Letter: In the States for a Few Months“In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” (Psalm 62:7)

We have now arrived safely in the United States. This furlough is mainly for my wife’s TMJ treatment. Please pray that she will recover within the six months so that we can return back to our mission field.

I would like to share one major blessing. It is always a blessing to see people come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Cambodia is 95% Buddhist. Many believe in Buddhism, but they don’t practice it; they practice Animism. The older they are, the harder it is for Cambodians to break from the cult and trust the living Jesus Christ. This is so true in Cambodia today.

I have tried to be aware of who is saved and who is not when people attend our services, and I have taught our people to be aware also in this matter. As we prepared to come back to the U.S, I just happened to ask this lady if her mother, whom we call “Grand Mom,” was saved. She replied, “No.” So I set a time where she could bring her mother to meet my wife, which she did. My wife spent about four hours talking to her about the Lord. At the end, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. “Grand Mom” is 87 years old. This is the picture of her sitting in my wife’s Sunday school class. I have learned through my years as a missionary that to see older Cambodians saved is a true miracle.

If you would like us come to your church and report on the work, please contact us by phone at 816-349-0650 or through the information below.

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support.
