Kounaro Keo Prayer Letter: Cambodian CultureThank you again for your prayer and financial support. We are very grateful for all of you. These few months the weather in Cambodia has been very hot. We are looking forward to the rainy season coming soon!

keoI would like to share a sad story and ask for your prayer for this situation in Cambodia. Raksmey, the young lady on the left in the picture below, has been influenced by Sreysaw, the young lady on the right, at the public school they attend. Sreysaw has tried very hard to live Christ-like since she has been saved. She understands that as Christians, we “are the light of this world.” As the result of that, Raksmey came to our services and got saved and baptized. She has been coming ever since, almost two years now.

During the Cambodian new year this April, Raksmey and her family went to visit their grandparents. Her grandparents found out that she has been attending church services, and they were very upset about it. Now her grandfather has told her that if she continues attending church, he will cut her off from the family. This is one of the dilemmas we are facing in Cambodian culture. Cambodian culture has a stronghold in the people, whether it is right or wrong.

These two months, we have had three children saved. Please continue to pray for my wife’s health concerning her TMJ. Thank you.

For Christ’s sake,

Kounaro, Chorvy, Kimberlee, Priscilla, Christina, & Jonathan
