Plowing, Planting, and Patience
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11) I am so grateful for the promise that when we are faithful to spread the seed of His Word, He will make it prosper. I am so thankful the Lord has chosen to keep us in Ireland another year. March began with the concern of having to move out of the country and ended in an answer to prayer—we would be able to remain another year and be eligible for dual citizenship. We were able to go into April confidently. During the month of March, we were able to spread the Gospel and invite people to our meetings, as well as put out our new flier with proof for the Bible. I have found so often that this is a stifling point for many. I am thankful for the ability to be able to hand people some information with a link to our website that contains more. Please pray that these will lead to the salvation of many.
April began with a bang. Bro Elias Correa spent three days with us. He has permission to print copies of the movie “The Light of the World” by Chick Publications (bottom photos). He brought over 450 copies, and we spent a day putting those out in the community. This year, rather than trying to have a one-time big day, I have sectioned off the year in themes. April had an Easter theme, and during our Wednesday Kids’ Bible Club, Kelly made a very nice empty-tomb scene with the kids (top photo). Kelly brought hers to a widow we know and have been witnessing to. She has been dealing with many issues since her husband died in January and was thrilled to have it. “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction . . . .” (James 1:27) May God bless our efforts.
At the end of April was an annual Men’s Camp, put on by Bible Baptist Church in Ballincollig (second photo). This year’s theme was about Lot and touched on many of the issues Christians are and will be facing today concerning sodomy. It was very timely and a wonderful time of fellowship with men from around the country, Irishmen as well as other preachers
Recently in Saturday soul winning, I met quite a few contentious people. Using my soul-winning religion questionnaire, I was able to talk to one Irishman who had doubts about the Catholic church and was very confused. This day I had brought a copy of the book done by Pastor Cary Schmidt and immediately handed him the copy. He was very thankful for the book and seemed interested in it. Please pray that he will read it and that, as I follow up, he will be saved.
