Keith Baker Prayer Letter: Voodoo's GripThe work in Bostaj is in its sixteenth week. Two weeks ago I saw my first adult convert there. Yes, I did personal evangelism fourteen Friday afternoons there before that occurrence. To God be the glory! Voodoo definitely has a grip on the general public in this area. One voodoo leader named Josef invited me into his sanctuary embellished with many charms and images. Before I departed, I noticed a human skull at my feet. The aforementioned adult who received Christ, Louis Marie Louise, exclaimed after calling upon the Lord, “Now I don’t have to consult the voodoo priest!” Very soon we will be constructing a fit temporary shelter to protect our flock from the elements.

We still have our eye on the Kafou Mennard area for a church plant. We are soul winning in that area.

Theresa finished her summer Bible Clubs this week with 121 in attendance. Her Saturday morning English classes also concluded on August 26. The students who satisfactorily completed all of their lessons on the book of John will receive certificates in church next Sunday.

Theresa and I plan to be in the Midwest later on in September. I will have the privilege of speaking at our oldest son Keith Jr.’s ordination. Keith and his wife Jennifer are looking to plant a church in the Des Moines, Iowa, area.

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We appreciate your continued financial support and prayers.

Respectfully,

Keith & Theresa Baker
