Keith and Theresa Baker Prayer Letter: Urgent Prayer Needed for HaitiWe are finishing our medical appointments here in America after our bout with typhoid fever. We are scheduled to return to Haiti on August 19, pending news from our Haitian connections within the area where we serve in San Raphael.

Yesterday, July 7, Theresa and I received the news about the assassination of Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise.

Haiti was not founded on the Word of God, so they have never known the righteousness that can exalt a nation. They are well acquainted with sin being a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34). I know this to be so true because before the Lord Jesus saved me, I was a part of what was wrong with our world and not a part of the solution. The national pastors and missionaries who serve in Haiti are making a difference, but like in any other country, it is a Herculean task. “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:38)

I normally write every other month, but because of the urgency in Haiti, I wanted to reach out and request needed prayer for the ministries we have established and for God’s protection for those faithful Christians we have trained and are training, especially in this dark hour of chaos and anarchy.
Respectfully,

Keith & Theresa Baker
