Juan Vallejo Prayer Letter: Urgent Prayer Request for Building Project!Urgent Prayer Request for Building Project in São Paulo, Brazil

Souls are being saved almost daily, and first-time visitors are coming in the doors of the church almost every service! Since our last letter, our family has had the joy of leading over 59 souls to Christ. The church is growing!

By faith, our church has voted to start building the second floor on the Igreja Batista de Sao Paulo. When we completed turning our home into a sanctuary in 2012, we were at capacity even then, as we did not have space indoors for our children’s church. Our children’s church meets outside on the carport, even in the cold winter and with the rain leaking through the roof.

We have added rows to our current seating in the sanctuary and are at the very end, close to the back wall. In order for the church to continue to grow, we need to build the second level. This level will extend over the carport and give us room to seat 250 teens and adults! The lower level will then be able to host 100 children.

Our family is excited to give our savings of R$2,000 to this need. Our dear church people have given sacrificially, and we are using all of our church funds to purchase the materials needed to start this project, and to pay the workers as we go. The workers will need to hook up the plumbing lines to the main source, we are having the work done according to city codes, and will need to pay an engineer as well. We have currently exhausted all of our funds available.

The building project will cost $40,000.00, and we have over $30,000.00 yet to raise! Thank you for praying with us for this great need!

Please Pray for:

1. The workers’ health and safety and for efficient and honest work.
2. Our family’s health and safety as we live in the midst of a huge construction site (no respiratory problems); we live behind the church.
3. The funds needed to complete this project ($30,000.00).

Thank you for your prayers. If you would like to take part in this exciting new phase of our ministry, funds may be sent to FBMI, c/o Juan Vallejo, 507 State Street, Hammond, IN 46320. Please include “For Building Fund” in the memo section of the check. May the Lord bless you for your prayers and giving as the Lord leads you.

In His service,

The Vallejo Family
