Joseph Elwell Prayer Letter: Another Church Plant in Progress“For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee.” (Titus 1:5)

What a joy it is to get to help plant another church. I left Yuma on September 11 and will return, Lord willing, in time for Thanksgiving. Please pray for our safety in travel.

God allowed us to help plant the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hastings, Michigan. This plant was out of the Battle Creek Baptist Temple where Pastor Lyle Dye is the pastor. What a blessing the first Sunday was. There were 54 in attendance, with 4 people trusting Jesus as their Saviour! Please pray for Brother Pete Petersen and family. They are a great young couple who love the Lord and want to be used by God to reach Hastings with the Gospel of our Lord. If you could help support them, it would be greatly used in the Lord’s work. We are already working with another man to start a church in the spring. We will share more about that work in our next letter.

We had a wonderful Faith Promise Missions Conference in Orange, Connecticut, with Pastor Dale Schwarz and church. Their Faith Promise came in way above last year, and we had 2 people trust Christ as their Saviour!

The Lord blessed me with getting to talk to a young lady who was raised as a Seventh-Day Adventist. She was in college studying to be in medical management. She saw that her religion could not save her, but only Jesus Christ could. She asked Jesus to come into her heart, only trusting Him to take her to Heaven. The Gospel is still powerful, and people are still getting saved. Amen!

Please pray for me as I continue to travel. I have many more Faith Promise Missions Conferences between now and Thanksgiving. Pray that every church will go forward in their giving and that we will continue to see souls saved along the travels. Please pray for Crystal. She had to have some extensive dental work done.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for this ministry.

Sincerely,

Joseph Elwell
