Jonathan Beil Prayer Letter: Blessed With Summer MeetingsAs the summer months are now upon us, deputation meetings are usually few and far between since churches have camp, Youth Conferences, and Vacation Bible School planned during this time. The Lord has blessed us, however, with 12 meetings these past 2 months and 10 scheduled so far in July and August. In May, we spent the month in Midwest churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, with 2 churches voting to take us on during the service and 2 more desiring to take us on within the next year. The month of June brought us down to Virginia and the Carolinas for meetings. We were in quite a spectrum of communities, from urban, international neighborhoods to rural churches in the country. The Lord is doing a work in the hearts and congregations of people in all walks of life! We have been encouraged to see many growing, thriving churches that still preach the timeless truth.

This past month, I’ve had the opportunity to go on hospital visits with several pastors. I enjoy this time because I get to know the pastor better and I get ministry experience in seeing how the pastor ministers to his church family in times of need. When we were in the Indianapolis area, I was able to make one such visit with Pastor Lindsey. One of the members at his church had an elderly father in the hospital who she believed was not saved and might not have much time left on this earth. We went to visit him around 9:00 on a Tuesday night when we could have some time alone with him. After talking to the man for a while, Pastor Lindsey was direct and clear on what God and the Bible had to say about eternity. We praise God that the man called upon Jesus for salvation in his old age, just like I did when I was 15 years old. As long as we still have breath, it is never too late to receive salvation in Christ! “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

We look forward to seeing what the Lord is also going to do with the seeds that were planted in other areas of the country where we were able to invite people to church and share the Gospel with them. Please pray for our safety this next month. We will be traveling from our home base in West Virginia to FBMI in Indiana for a week of missions training; then we will make the long trek to California to finish our schedule on the West Coast.

We praise the Lord for all that He has done for us while on deputation, and we look forward to our meetings the rest of the year before we move. Please also pray for wisdom, as I will soon be buying our plane tickets for our move to Thailand. We are still asking the Lord to provide the funds for these tickets, as well as for our shipping costs. Please contact me at beils2thailand@gmail.com if you have any questions. Thank you for all you do in serving our Lord. We are excited to represent you in Thailand.

In His service,

Jonathan and Brittany Beil
