Jonathan Beil Prayer Letter: An Amazing First Two Months in Thailand! It is amazing to look back on what the Lord has done these past two months here in Thailand. By God’s grace, we were able to secure housing and a vehicle already. We spent the first two weeks getting adjusted before jumping into full-time language school. We are blessed to have a great Thai teacher, Khru Ning. We are grateful for her effort in teaching us the Thai language Monday through Thursday every week. We also praise the Lord that Brittany was able to get a one-year teaching visa a few weeks ago. She teaches English every Saturday, and the teaching visa allows us to live and serve here in Thailand. God has been so good, and your prayers and support mean the world to us.

As you know, we are working with a team of missionaries here in Thailand at International Baptist Church. About six weeks ago, we took over the Teen Ministry and Teen Sunday School Class. I am blessed with a great translator named Jack. He is one of our faithful teen guys. He does a great job helping me in class while I learn Thai. Since taking over the Teen Ministry, we have seen visitors come almost every week and have had some of those visitors become regulars. Many of these teens were invited by our faithful teens who desire for their friends to trust Christ as well. It’s always exciting to have newcomers, but it is so encouraging to see our faithful teens growing in the Lord. The first week of class, we focused on having a relationship with God. I challenged them to start reading one chapter in their Bible every day. It was great to see Kwan, one of our new teen girls, come to church on Wednesday night and show us that she was reading her Bible every day and writing down something she learned. She also met the goal of reading the whole book of Proverbs this past month. Our desire for the teens in Hua Hin and throughout Thailand is that they trust in Christ alone to save them and that they have a real relationship with Him.

Please pray for our language studies because we desire to preach the Gospel in Thai as soon as possible. In the meantime, we praise the Lord for allowing us to witness to people with the help of good translators. On one Saturday afternoon, I was making some visits with the teen guys. We ended up at the house of one of our faithful church members, and her middle-aged son Pi Noi happened to be at the house. We talked to him about the Gospel for around 45 minutes. He told us of his Catholic background and how he understood everything we talked about, but he thought that he had too much sin in his life to accept Christ. We gave him a John and Romans booklet and asked him if we could come back another day, and he said we could. The next week, I came back with Pastor Tim and another Thai young man. After spending more time sharing Scripture with him, Pi Noi trusted in Christ to save him from his sins. We rejoiced together and invited him to come to church on Sunday. He came that Sunday with his mom and daughter for the very first time. After church, he followed the Lord in believer’s baptism! The night he trusted Christ, his mom kept thanking us for coming and giving him the Gospel. With tears of joy, she told us that she had been praying for him to trust Christ for many years. The Lord answered her prayers that night. Through your prayers and support for us and all your missionaries, many people like Pi Noi will hear the truth and will trust in Christ. Thank you for your continued faithfulness in giving so we can go.

In His service,

Jonathan and Brittany Beil
